These three issues are the focus of the Delaware River WRAPS Watershed Plan and of WRAPS water resource protection actions.
Four other issues have also been identified as important water resource concerns in the watershed. Although important issues for the watershed, addressing the three most important issues listed above will result in improvements related to pesticide contamination and groundwater protection. The development of a regional household hazardous waste (HHW) disposal program in the watershed in 2008 alleviated concerns about HHW and point source pollution is addressed through the National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES).
